Driven by the mission to unlock the potential of medical data, faster

While Emiri, CEO and Co-founder, was writing her Masters thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences at ETH Zurich, she encountered disorganized medical data that took over six months to work with.

She realized that research could be conducted more quickly if medical data could be easily obtained from the real world in a clean format. Thus, Yuimedi was launched to create a world in which medical research using data can flourish.

Team and expertise

EMIRI GRIMES

Founder And CEO

Graduated from Kyoto University in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. After obtaining her pharmacist license, she worked in clinical development at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. Interested in improving the Japanese healthcare system through industry, government, and academia, she obtained a Masters in Medical and Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences from ETH Zurich. Later, she gained managerial skills as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. She founded Yuimedi in November 2020 to develop digital solutions related to healthcare x data.

SHINGO INOUE

Co-founder and CTO

Prior to Yuimedi, he worked at CureApp as the head of the technical department where he developed and managed therapeutics apps and at a Singaporean EdTech company as a full-stack engineer, data engineer, and scrum master. He is a Node.js committer and enjoys mountain climbing and traveling. His handle name is Leko (https://github.com/Leko).

GNANI PALANIKUMAR

CRO

He has over 25 years of diverse experience in Silicon Valley as a founding member of early-stage startups and product executive at large enterprise companies. He has deep experience supporting early-stage founding teams on business and funding strategies, including Customer Discovery & Validation, Go-to-Market strategy (GTM), Product/Market Fit validation, Sales & Business Development.

KAZUHIKO MURAOKA

CFO

He brings extensive financial expertise, with a career spanning investment banking and venture capital. With deep experience in managing complex financial operations and raising capital, he is instrumental in supporting Yuimedi’s mission to revolutionize healthcare through technology.

KAY HASEGAWA

VP of Product Strategy

She worked as a management consultant at McKinsey in the US and Japan before becoming a Senior Product Manager at a Series A logistics startup in Indonesia. She joined Yuimedi in March 2023 while pursuing her MBA at London Business School.
